Anthropic is an AI safety company founded in 2021 by Dario and Daniela Amodei with a group of former OpenAI researchers. It builds the Claude model family and has positioned itself as the lab that treats safety work as a product feature rather than a compliance cost.
The model family
The lineup runs from the fast Haiku tier through Sonnet and Opus up to the new Mythos class, whose first public release is Claude Fable 5 . The restricted sibling, Mythos 5, stays inside Project Glasswing, the security program that grew from 11 launch partners and $100 million in credits to roughly 150 organizations across more than 15 countries.
The 2026 inflection
