Fable 5 Launch
June 9, 2026: Anthropic releases Claude Fable 5, the first publicly available Mythos-class model, alongside restricted sibling Mythos 5.

On the morning of June 9, 2026, Anthropic announced Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5: one weight class, two release tracks. Fable 5 ships to everyone with consumer-grade safeguards; Mythos 5 stays restricted to Project Glasswing partners. It is the first time a Mythos-class model has been generally available.
What shipped on day one
- General availability on the Claude API, the Claude Platform on AWS, Amazon Bedrock, Vertex AI, and Microsoft Foundry.
- A GitHub Copilot rollout across Pro+, Max, Business, and Enterprise plans, per the GitHub changelog.
- Launch pricing of $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output, with the model included in paid Claude plans through June 22.
